Making Parent Appointments

  1. Booking through the CUI (parent-facing scheduler) respects all standard restrictions and limits. To override those restrictions — for example, giving a parent extra time with a teacher — you'll need to book the appointment manually through the Admin UI.

    For the PTA product, every appointment must have both a student and a parent associated with it.

    1. Select the

      If the student is on the greenteacher's plusroster, signselect (+)their name infrom the slotlist youon wouldthe likeright toand book.click OK. You will seeIf the student is not on the teacher's roster, uncheck "Students of [Teacher Name]", search for the student by name, select them, and click OK. This opens the Create Appointment dialog. The parent name orwill parentdisplay namesautomatically. listed. If multiple parents are found, you can selectSelect the correct one from the parent pull-down. Select the class (if there is more than one class option andone), then pressclick OK.

      Once complete, the

      Ok button. The appointmentsappointment box shouldwill nowdisplay listboth the parent's name and the student's name.names.

      If the appointment has a red borderborder: around it, clickClick on the appointmentit to checkview the error message that is to the leftshown below the calendar. CancelFrom thehere, appointmenteither withclick the Cancel Appointment buttonto ifremove you made a mistake,it, or selectclick the Confirm Appointment button to force the appointmentbooking and removeclear the red highlighting.


      Other Appointment Options

      OnClick on any existing appointment on the Appointments page, youthen can click on an existing appointment. Selectopen the Appointments drop-down to see the following options: access:

      Option What it does Confirm Appointment  - this will be enabled if you have clicked onConfirms a redflagged (red) problem appointment and will allowCancel youAppointment to confirmCancels the problemappointment, appointment. 

      Cancel Appointment - will allow you to cancelwith the appointmentoption and optionallyto send a cancellation email.

      Edit Appointment - will allow you to edit the appointment details for an appointment. For example, if you were prompting your parents for additionalEdits appointment-specific information,details you(e.g., wouldcustom befields ablecollected tofrom editparents) it here.

      Change Time - will allow you to moveMoves the appointment to a new time.time

      Send Reminder - will sendSends a reminder email to the parent.parent

      Customer Info - will bring upOpens the Contact Information dialog box for the parent.parent
