SMS Messaging
1. Enabling the Service
SMS messaging is enabled upon request.
- Cost:
3 cents3¢ per text messagesent.sent - Activation: Once enabled by our
team enables the feature for your account,team, a new SMS section will appear underyourNotification Setuppage.
2. Configuring the Automated Reminder
In the Notification Setup /→ SMS section, you can define the following:configure:
- Enable Reminders: Check the box to activate
theautomatedservice.SMS reminders - Custom Message: Enter your preferred reminder
text.text - Timing: Set how far in advance the
durationmessage should send (e.g., 24 hours or 2hours)hours before theappointment that the message should be sent.appointment)

CharacterLimit:limit: Messages arestrictlylimited to 160 characters.This— this includes"macros"macros (likee.g.,$(ontime)TIME)$()d_medium)D_MEDIUM)onceaftertheythey'vearebeen expanded into fullwords.text, not their shorthand length.
3. The Participant Experience
During the booking process, participantsParticipants are not automatically signedenrolled upin forSMS texts.reminders. TheyDuring willbooking, they'll see an opt-in checkbox asking if they would like to receiverequest ana SMStext Reminder.reminder.
If they check the box and provide a mobile number, thetheir systemreminder willis automatically queue their reminderqueued for the time youyou've specified.
4. Sending Reminders "On Demand."

IfFor youmanual needblasts to— sende.g., a manual blast to participants (for example, if there is a suddenlast-minute schedule change or weather delay),delay you— cansend do sodirectly from the Appointments List page:
- Filter your list by
the specificEvent or Date. - Select the participants you
wishwant to reach. - Click
theSend SMSdrop-down menu toand broadcast your message.
Note: This
willonlysend toreaches participants who originally opted in toreceiveSMSnotifications.notifications — it won't reach anyone who didn't check the box during booking.
